Nutrition for Fertility, Pregnancy, and Postpartum

  • Heideken Perhetalo 3 Sepänkatu Turku, Varsinais-Suomi, 20700 Finland (map)

Facilitated by Freja Enholm-Kallio & Kármen Kollár

In this workshop, you’ll explore the vital role of nutrition in fertility, pregnancy, and postpartum recovery. Rather than focusing on rigid diets, we’ll help you understand which foods work best for your body and how nutrition influences your ability to conceive, maintain a healthy pregnancy, and support postpartum healing.

The circle is inclusive of women and those with female reproductive anatomy of all ages and life stages.

We’ll discuss why food matters and the effects of poor nutrition, as well as practical strategies to manage cravings, morning sickness, and common dietary challenges. Wondering what to do if you’re only craving beige foods or have unusual cravings like soil? Curious about which foods to prioritize? We’ll also cover:

✨ How to nourish your body to support a healthy menstrual cycle and improve fertility.

✨Key nutrients for balancing hormones and increasing your chances of conception.

✨Foods that may help or hinder digestion, and how certain foods can affect your baby through pregnancy and breastfeeding.

✨What to eat postpartum to replenish your body, restore strength, and optimize recovery.

✨ How to plan for postpartum nourishment and support when family isn’t nearby.

  • Why nutrition is essential for reproductive health, pregnancy, and postpartum recovery.
The risks of poor nutrition and how to prevent deficiencies.
How food influences mood, energy, and hormones, as well as its impact on fertility, pregnancy, and breastfed babies.
What to eat (and why) to optimize fertility, support a healthy pregnancy, and recover postpartum.
Practical meal ideas tailored to each stage of the journey.

  • This workshop is a supportive and interactive space, combining education, self-reflection, and discussion. We will use storytelling, guided exercises, and practical tools to help you tune into your body’s natural wisdom.

  • This workshop is designed for women and individuals with female reproductive anatomy at any stage of life who want to:
