Becoming a Parent in Your 30s

  • Heideken Perhetalo 3 Sepänkatu Turku, Varsinais-Suomi, 20700 Finland (map)

Facilitated by Freja Enholm-Kallio & Kármen Kollár

In this workshop, we will explore the different paths to parenthood in your 30s, covering both natural conception and alternative options.

We’ll begin by understanding how fertility works, how you can optimize your chances of pregnancy, and why perimenopause becomes an important consideration in the second half of your 30s.

We’ll also discuss key lifestyle factors—such as nutrition, exercise, and stress management—that support reproductive health and bust common fertility myths, like the idea that ovulation always happens on day 14.

The circle is inclusive of women and those with female reproductive anatomy of all ages and life stages.

Beyond natural conception, we will also explore assisted reproductive technologies (ART), including when they might be needed and what options exist. Finally, we will discuss other ways to become a parent in Finland, such as adoption and how the process works.
